Introduction

The Lantau Link Visitor Center is located in the northwest of Tsing Yi Island. It is an exhibition hall introducing the Lantau Link in Hong Kong. It was officially opened to the public after the opening of the Lantau Link in August 1997. The observation deck facilities include outdoor components of the observation deck, Tsing Ma Bridge and Ting Kau Bridge, and the Lantau Link Visitor Center. Information about the construction of the Lantau Link and Ting Kau Bridge is displayed in the visitor center, including short videos, drawings, photos and models. From the spiral path around the cylindrical viewing platform, visitors can get closer and overlook the Tsing Ma Bridge, Ting Kau Bridge, Kap Shui Mun Bridge and Ma Wan Strait. In addition, the visitor center has a footbridge connecting the public parking lot on the opposite side.

Accessibility description

There are only a few barrier-free facilities in the Lantau Link Visitor Center, and the design fails to fully consider the needs of wheelchairs/persons with reduced mobility. You can only go to the viewing platform through a ramp, but the ramp is longer, and people with wheelchairs/handicapped need to pay attention.

 FG Tips

There is no bus to reach the visitor center and observation deck. Wheelchair users can only drive by car, take a rehabilitation bus or a barrier-free taxi.
