The University of Hong Kong - University Museum and Art Gallery

Introduction

The University of Hong Kong University Museum and Art Gallery was originally called the Feng Pingshan Museum. It was founded in 1953. The predecessor was the Feng Pingshan Library of the University of Hong Kong. It was formally established after the completion of the Feng Pingshan Building in 1932. The book collection is mainly Chinese. Both are named in the name of the donor. After the Feng Ping Shan Library was moved to the University Library in 1961, the Feng Ping Shan Building was officially used as a museum. In 1994, the museum was renamed the University of Hong Kong University Museum and Art Gallery, and a new  T. T. Tsui Building was built in 1996. In the past 60 years, as the oldest surviving museum in Hong Kong, the museum has many Chinese cultural relics and works of art.
