Introduction

City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is a public research university located in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. The campus is located in the business district of Kowloon Tong, MTR Kowloon Tong Station, backed by the Lion Rock, overlooking the Kowloon Peninsula and Victoria Harbour, and the transportation is very convenient. The school was founded in 1984 and officially changed its name to City University of Hong Kong in 1995. In the 30 years since its establishment, CityU has become a comprehensive research university ranked in the top 100 in the world and third in Hong Kong, and ranked fourth in the world’s best university rankings less than 50 years old. .

The City University has a number of barrier-free facilities, including entrances and exits, passage design, lifts, accessible toilets, etc. The design fully considers the needs of wheelchairs/persons with reduced mobility. The local passages are designed to be wide and low, and most of the uneven places are equipped with ramps, and the ramps are relatively flat so that wheelchair users can easily get on and off.
