The Hong Kong Arts Festival is a non-profit organization. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s basic funding accounted for about 12% of the total revenue for the 2019/2020 fiscal year.

About 5% came from the government’s additional five-year funding in 2018/19, and another nearly 23%. It needs to come from box office revenue, and nearly 40% of it needs to rely on sponsorships and donations from major companies, enthusiasts and charitable foundations.

It is estimated that the remaining 20% will come from other income, including matching funds provided by the government for donations and sponsorship income.
