荃灣公園佔地約6.9公頃，座落荃灣區市中心地帶，建造費用約為一億零七百萬元。公園位處海旁，故以「海洋」為設計主題。遊人可在公園的許多地方，從不同角度眺望對岸青衣島、藍巴勒海峽及遠方的汀九橋。中軸的噴泉、水池、與環境配合的雕塑，以及帆型的結構物，都呼應著以水為主題的概念。
