The so-called "Disabled Art" is to provide people with disabilities with equal opportunities to participate in and appreciate art activities, and to develop their artistic talents from it, rather than a profit-making charity-The Hong Kong Disabled Art Association is based on the concept of "Art with Participation. Joint Exhibition for the Disabled and Healthy" "Able" as the purpose, to develop and promote the art of performance for the whole society in all aspects, and is committed to promoting equal opportunities, allowing people with disabilities to participate in artistic activities, and developing artistic talents; at the same time, it is everyone’s right to appreciate art and advocate building through art. Inclusive society.
 

The Art of Disability Association hopes that through universal art education and public education, the public (including the disabled and the able-bodied) realize that participation in art is an equal and basic right for everyone, and at the same time strive for fair opportunities for people with disabilities to learn and create art; It will provide professional development opportunities to assist individuals with disabilities, thereby fostering the talents of capable artists.


In terms of discovering and reaching out to more students with artistic potential, the Activated Arts Club has cooperated with four special schools in Hong Kong under the "Art Burning-Activated Arts Project" to provide a series of art training and art fun days. Activities such as exploring the interest of disabled students in art, and cultivating students with artistic potential, in order to develop their own artistic career in the future. Through the "Creative Art and Self-reliance" project, more than 200 non-profit organizations in Hong Kong organized workshops to bring art activities into institutions and centers.


In terms of promoting the appreciation of art for people with different needs, the Disabled Arts Association will provide different special needs in the barrier-free facilities and “art access services” of performance venues under the "Art Access" project. An opportunity for the senses to touch, feel and appreciate art.


The Disabled Art Association uses the Disabled Art Development Plan to cultivate and fund capable artists, and then uses the capable artists as a medium to further promote the Disabled Art; and then proposes the Disabled Artist Certification Program, which includes the Resident Artist Program, ADA The Disabled Art Angel Program, Aoba Artists Program and Disabled Artists Registration Service provide various related programs to train and give internship opportunities for the Disabled Artists, and then strive for artistic work opportunities for them. At the same time, through many different programs, For example, "Yi Wuqiang" and the social enterprise "Yi Quan Ren" under the Art Exhibition Club provide a performance platform for capable artists, increase the visibility of capable arts and capable artists, and let the public know more about capable arts.
