The association serves people with physical disabilities caused by central nervous system trauma, including physical disabilities, spasticity, intellectual disability, autism, developmental delay, special learning difficulties, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, etc., and services cover young children to the elderly, including education and accommodation , Employment, training, family support and community rehabilitation, etc., to take care of their rehabilitation needs at different stages of life.
Source of Funding
Funds for the association mainly come from relevant government departments, such as the Social Welfare Department and the Education Bureau, The Community Chest of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, Lottery Fund, and other charitable societies and charitable donations and support.
In the past 50 years, the Association has been working hard to develop and create to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services for people with disabilities of different ages and categories. At present, the association has opened a total of 68 service units, divided into four core areas, including "child and family support services", "special education services", "adult services" and "community support services", together with several Special service plan. At present, the association has 67 service units and special programs that provide regular services to more than 16,000 families, as well as rehabilitation services for community members and school children.
