The Hong Kong Association for the Disabled and Health-A Center for the Disabled. The service assists the disabled to develop their potential and establish positive personal values through different support services and social and recreational activities. At the same time, it assists and encourages the disabled to actively integrate into the community and serve the community. Promote the message of "Inclusiveness of the Disabled and Healthy" through public education activities and community activities. Provide training and support to the family members/carers of the disabled to improve their ability to care for the disabled and relieve their stress.
The Hong Kong Island Handicap Centre has a number of barrier-free facilities, including entrances and exits, automatic doors, passages, and accessible toilets. The design takes full account of the needs of wheelchairs/persons with reduced mobility. Most of the uneven places are equipped with ramps, and the ramps are relatively flat, so wheelchair users can easily get on and off.
The Hong Kong Island Disability Centre is located in Siu Sai Wan, and wheelchair users who need it can go there alone.
- The main entrance and exit of the Hong Kong Island Disability Center are located in Units 5-12, G/F, Shui Yi Building, Siu Sai Wan Village. The entrance is equipped with ramps and automatic doors, which is very suitable for wheelchairs/persons with reduced mobility.
