Introduction

Tamar Park is located at Harcourt Road, Admiralty, Hong Kong. It is part of the Tamar Development Project. It covers an area of approximately 1.76 hectares. It is adjacent to the new government headquarters and the Legislative Council Complex. It will be open for public use since October 10, 2011. The design of the park is simple and elegant. Many green lawns in the park are like "green carpets" for visitors to take a walk or sit and enjoy the green space. Other facilities include landscaped gardens, special water features, viewing platforms, Tamar Point, amphitheatre and Tamar Cafe. The open-air theater can be used for groups to hold cultural and recreational activities and performances, and the auditorium can accommodate about 240 people.
