Introduction

**由於熱帶氣旋山竹導致香港海防博物館部份設施損毀，博物館需暫停開放以進行維修工程，直至另行通知**

博物館的前身是鯉魚門炮台，是百多年前香港最具規模的防禦工事，亦是1941年香港保衛戰的一個重要戰場。今天，炮台已改建為博物館，保存和展示香港自明清兩代、英治時期、抗日戰爭以至回歸以後共六百年的海防歷史。
