Introduction

志蓮淨苑是一座廟宇，南蓮園池則是個古式園林，兩者相互毗連，雖位處繁華喧鬧的市中心，該院寺堂以仿唐代木結構建築為特色，與周邊的斧山公園及南蓮園池結合為大型的仿唐建築群，是香港的特色建築及景點之一。南蓮園池以唐代園林為建築藍本，其造園手法「小中見大」，以小品建築、樹木、山石和池水等營造的借景，將山水融入其中。
